OK, so I'm thinking of breaking the habit of a lifetime, and actually cleaning a car every now and then.

If I want to clean the underside, won't I strip off the Waxoyl? I was thinking of maybe directing a power washer jet on the ground underneath the car but obviously don't want to remove the protection that's just been put on again...

Hmmm, you would get away with a low pressure blast and it might get rid of some of the salt, however you are covering the chassis with water so perhaps not so good. Swings and roundabouts. I wouldn't bother personally although I did hear of a guy who'd made a special out of some hose and a drilled pipe that he used to pass under the car.

Dont hold the lance to close to the chassis when you pressure wash, cant see any problem with this method(a little Karchers ideal)beleive my anythings better than that road salt eating the chassis,of course a hose pipe dilutes the salt just as well but more effort.
