Quick question, what type of headlamp bulb does a Chim need ? My drivers side bulb blew last night and I need to replace it. I want to avoid jacking up/removing/fitting wheel twice. Shop is about 15 miles away so I dont want to leave her jacked up while I go get the replacement.

Checked bible, it says see owners manual for bulb type. Checked owners manual it says wattage but not type.

Cheers

Dodsy

ETA: After some slightly lateral thinking (nothing came up on the search for headlight bulbs) I checked all posts on HID bulbs and it looks like I need an H4 bulb so thats what I will try...

This search is getting stupid......

You can't find headlights, I looked earlier for wiper relay..

I know we have discussed, and entered valuable info on these topics, yet we cant find it!!!!

I posted recently about increasing the search engine age, but I'm sure some of these topics have been discussed recently??? I too am beginning to lose faith in PH as a library of info.

It is a real pity because a lot of valuable info has been recorded here over the years. I'm sure a lot of people have made the extra effort to detail a lot of things in the hope it would documented for the benefit of others.

I found plenty on headlights, just nothing describing which bulb ... all the posts were talking about bulb brightness and how to fit them, everyone seemed to already know what type of bulb. Bit of a problem really as neither the bible or the TVR manual say which type of bulb !

I did find lots of good info on how to do the swap though, and managed it in about 30 minutes which I was pretty pleased with !

I also had the dash off again today and took advice from previous posts on here and trimmed down one of the bolts to make it easier to fit back, and fitted M6 wingnuts.

So there is plenty of good advice, but sometimes there are assumptions made (for example that you know the type of bulb!) hence my question which to be fair was very quickly answered

SO big thunbs up for PH, I managed to have the dash off and refit and changed a headlamp bulb two jobs made much easier by reading the posts on here !

Wow, I am impressed.
You're getting bloody technical in your old age.
