Exhaust tip extender pics as promised Aubrey!
Discussion
Sorry I know I said i'd post them a while back, but I've only just got round to taking some pictures after picking the car up from chassisclean today - Speaking of which, they did a bloody good job and the underside now looks like new! Then had a bloody good run home; roof off, sun shining, pure bliss!

Edit: For anyone who doesn't know what i'm talking about, these were a set of exhaust tip extenders made up for me by Tim at ACT. They were mainly to stop carbon rings forming on the paintwork after I decatted the car, but they also improve the look of the rear end very nicely IMHO

Who and where are 'chassisclean' ?
Btw, don't you find those extenders a parking nightmare or is it a case of you'd prefer someone to hit them rather than the fibreglass?
Yes chassisclean can be found at http://chassisclean.co.uk/. In short, they are a couple of guys who have run a chassis protection business off their farm in Cheshire since 2004. They took the car for 3 days and while they had it, they degreased and steam cleaned the whole underside, treated any rust they found and then covered the whole underside (apart from springs and things) with rust-preventing waxy-stuff for a few layers, and finally a few layers of underseal. They did a top notch job and got every last corner as far as I could see, even removing the exhaust plate to coat that and blast inside the chassis tubes they could get to. So now the underside is all black and shiney and looks as good as new and should last upwards of 3 years under regular usage and 5 or more for weekend driving. They charged £300 for the whole job (they used to charge £250 until they realised that Chims take longer than they first thought due to all the tubes etc) but I think that the charge was entirely justified and would definitely recommend them. Nice touches such as showing me before and during photos when I picked it up and showing me into the pit so I could have a look at their work just reenforced my positive thoughts of them. I haven't got any photos to hand, but if you search chassisclean on the forum search, I believe the guy with the yellow chim with black viper stripes put some pics up of his one!Btw, don't you find those extenders a parking nightmare or is it a case of you'd prefer someone to hit them rather than the fibreglass?
On the extenders front, they only stick out an inch or so beyond the rearmost bump, I can't see how they'd ever catch on anything really, I've had them on for around 7 months now and the only time i've heard a slight scrape was when sticking it on a flatbed to take to a tuning shop before the ECU was up and running, and this was the two bolts on the bottom just touching the ground but it wasn't a problem in the slightest. I never have to park it within half an inch of a wall either so the length isn't a problem and from standing, you can't see the join or the bolts at the bottom, so they just look like two neat shiney pipes sticking out the back
