We live in the most stunning area in the country and yet, there is no TVR club for Peak Forest.

Would anyone be interested in my wife and I becomming RO's for the area?
If there is enough interest we'll give it a go.

I think more people would probably turn out for events on a Sunday if they didn't have so far to travel. I know at least 5 other TVR's in the area (New Mills/Whaley) 2 Chims, 2 Cerbs a Tuscan and a Griff.

My wife has already run another car club for the Austin Healey (Northern). It was supposed to be her boss but as she was his PA, the role always ended up on her shoulders and his name was in the mag!

Let us know your thoughts - spring is nearly here and there are fabulous runs to be had and great pubs to visit.

Good idea. yes

Can I suggest avoiding other local(ish) meets. SYorks is 3rd Sunday, EMids and NYorks are 2nd Sunday. Not sure when the Westside meets are.

The topic might be better in General TVR?

I'd be interested in a Peak District bimble. I went out midweek when it was scorchio. Had a blast up Long Hill, down into the Goyt and back down the Cat & Fiddle.

It was cooking between 11:00 and 15:00.

I'm free most weekends for a mooch if anyone else is free.

I'm in Glossop so it would be perfect, Manchester and Chesire or Yorks are just to far for me to pop of the evening, plus we do have some of the best roads around...........

PEAK FOREST REGION TVR meet is officially back up and running, thanks to NTEL and his wife signing the forms for us.

The meetings are to be held on the 1st Sunday of the Month at 12pm (as we didn't want to clash anyone else) - the first one being 6th April 2008.

Venue: The Lamb Inn, Hayfield Road, Chinley, High Peak SK23 6AL (Situated on the A624 between Hayfield and Chapel-en-le-Frith - Tel: 01663 750519

Proprietors: David & Fiona Asquith

David & Fiona used to look after the Classic Car Cub at their old pub in Ashbourne and are really happy to accommodate us. We have got a separate flat car parking area, just as you turn off Hayfield Road and the food is fabulous, so if you do want Sunday lunch, please pre-book as they are very popular.

I am sure you will give us loads of support and try to turn up.

See you on 6th!
