anyone fit a starter motor to a chim how easy is it

About 20 minutes work once you disconnect battery earth lead,although the allen bolts securing the starter are easily rounded, you have been warnedgood luck.

Yeah - just done this it's almost like the starter bolts are locktite'ed in - be careful!! I used a few extention, an allen-socket thing and an adaptor to allow a 1/2" ratchet so i could get the power. Still only two to remove.

And don't forget to disconnect the battery.... like me who in frustration (i was removing the exhaust manifold at the time) forgot.

I changed mine last year and forgot to disconect the battery!!
when your under the car with not a lot of room and your spanner hits the live terminal of the starter you will be surprised how high you can jump!!
