What are the size and type of the PAS pipes that go to the black bottle on the back of the plenum, they are covered in fabric. I seem to have a leak as all the pipe fabric is covered in pas fluid leading away from the bottle.

Also where can you get a black PAS bottle from just in case one of the connections is fractured.

To replace the pipe the PAS system will need to be drained what is the proceedure for filling and bleeding the system as I have never done this before.

Not sure about TVR, but typically one pipe is high pressure & needs swaged connections (plenty of local hydraulic specialists will do this for you) and the other is just clipped on. I think the easiest solution is to just take the pipes to your local pipe specialist and they can replace the pipes, they will be stamped with the correct spec to use. The reservoirs do occasionally split, on old LR's - can't say I've heard of it on TVR's though.

Can't remember the exact procedure for refilling, but will look it up if nobody else posts it.

Rack is self bleeding - just fill it to the dipstick in the pot. Turn the wheel from one side to another a few times (but don't go right to the rack limit). Keep doing that until the level doesn't drop in the pot - check it again a couple of drives later.

The fluid is grim stuff so be careful with it - some atf fluids can eat some types of paint (so I was told when I bought mine) so be careful what you're doing with it

The send and return are 1/2in and 5/8in pipes (memory fails me tonight as to which way round, I'll check tomorrow), SAE100R6 hose will do the job from your local autofactors or Pirtek type supplier.

I was told by a TVR main dealer that two types were fitted. One self bleeding by turning to full lock, until the valve can be heard. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat 6 times on each lock. The other type wasn't self bleeding.

I had phoned up and they said try the above first. If that doesn't do it then you will need to bing it in for bleeding. No idea how to bleed the other type.
