What is this cable

Been pulling out the ecu loom to fit the emerald cable tied to the 3ft ecu loom is another smaller loom which just has a plug in the end with some wire loops, is this the diag socket or something else.

Is it the multiplug with loads of black cables to it ?

If so no one seems to have a clue what it is. Bare in mind this is an adapted LR loom and not a bespoke one for the car . . . Are you going for a complete new loom (wholly recommended) or just a cutting in to the old loom ?

Yes the one with loads of black wires.

So far I have removed all the sleving from around the engine loom(what a s??t job that was all wires covered in sticky glue), was planning on removing all the wires not needed ie injectors/AFm/lambda etc etc. But leaving oil pressure and coolant sensor wires that goto the gauges.

Then run new wires from emerald to everything and just include the gauge wires in the loom when tidying it all up.

Found a company called www.polevolt.co.uk they have everything required for loom making and most of the connectors required.
