I took the car out today and noticed the steering was stiff and a little jerky when turning right, i had a look and there was a squeak from the upper uj joint.
My question is if i clean and grease this tommorrow whats the chances of this curing the problem,it has only just happened as i drove it yesterday and steering was fine then. If not and i have to change it how difficult is it likly to be??
Thanks
Rich

Common fault, they seize up. You will need to replace but they are only about twenty quid, fitted in about half an hour.

IIRC you need to measure the dia of the splined bits to identify the parts, there are a few variations.

The replacement will last a lot longer if you put a gater over it. Generic steering rack end gaters do the job nicely.
