Decided to give the chim (which ive owned and loved for about 6 months) a run out.It has been stood since travelling to the sun around christmas time! when to my horror i found the passanger footwell in around 3" of water ( go on say it! you plank!)
Have removed the fusebox and left it to dry, anybody have any idea of the damage caused by this incident as ive yet to charge up/check the battery etc!

If its been left that long in water the fuse box maybe full of corosion same with all the relays as most are not sealed.

What about the ecu this is normally on the floor.

Had the same on mine but driver side took ages to dry the carpets out, it does happen quite abit, thou not so common on pass side as far less holes to seal, do you know where the water came in.

You could always try the african approach (demoed on Top Gear) to solve this problem. Start with a flooded foowell and a gun, finish with a nice drainage hole in the floor... Could get a bit drafty on those cold mornings tho!

Can't believe you haven't been in her since Xmas - haven't been out of mine for more than a couple of days, trips abroad allowing!

There will be a rubber grommet type bung in the floor, pop that out for a day or so. Clocks will steam up when you get it warmed up also.
