Discussion
as my car is stripped out completly ,i am retrimming in black leather, top end stereo dvd etc new carpets ,photos will follow , after taking dash out the cable for battery runs to the boot also loom (fuses)fits into cubby hole behind pasenger seat my question is has enyone else moved battery to boot and what probs if any did you encounter ?do i need a special battery (i have a newish maintanence free one) also can the earth/neutral be connected more than once to the chassis as the earth connection under dash has been cleaned up but there is another one in the boot could i connect to that as well?

The battery has been moved into the boot on mine Si. You're welcome to have a look when I get it back next week. Can you get at the chassis mount in the boot easily when your car is re-assembled? I assume TVR selected the forward upper chassis rail as it is more protected from the elements? Maybe the rollbar attachment points above the diff would be more suitable?
I think if you add an extra cable from one side to the other so that you have 2 contact points to the chassis it is better BTW.
I don't really see why the fusebox needs to be moved, maybe the ecu & its periphery?

I know its only a percieved risk, but bear in mind the other big thing that is in the boot if you're adding lots of electrics back there.. the fuel tank. Also again fairly minor, but you are changing the front/rear weight bias slightly too.
but more weight to rear is better !!!!!also if it goes boom think of the boost il will get=======Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
