There is an adjuster/limit stop (at the top of the Goldie cable tube, which is part of the regulator) that can be accessed from inside the brush seal in the centre line of the glass using a screw driver...also on later cars the hood centre panel has a adjustable seal that can come down to the glass (where adjustment of the regulator causes the corner of the glass to damage the hood).

thanks for that but im not sure i understand where that is, is it a door panel removal job?
No...The window needs dropping down as far as possible and then you slide your fingers between the door trim and the glass, through the brush seal and you should see the adjuster. (It is odd that this is set so low, beware of spinning the adjuster out and loosing it in the door also of the glass being broken as you fine tune the adjustment) Adrian@Edited by Adrian@ on Wednesday 12th March 13:07

Easy once you find it, but it takes ages the first time (ooer sounds vaguely rude!), you have to persevere... Is it a flat blade I can't recall?.
Dave
Yep it's a flat blade and yes it is a bugger to find first time round...a torch and a flat implement like a decorators scraper helps to keep the brushes out of the way and see the adjuster, if you can manage to hold all three at the same time!Dave
This may help

That said, mine needs to go up a couple of mm on the drivers side and the adjuster has no effect on my car....
