first problem is after a recent rad change one fan has stopped working, im hoping that its just the connectors as it got pretty wet down there when changed. secondly got car up to temp today but when i turned engine off the working fan cut out straight away,is this normal or should it keep running for a bit?

Try checking the connector plugs first, they are prone to having a poor connection if not kept clean, the fans should stop as soon as the ign is turned off

Just had exactly the same fault after refitting my radiator. Just shorted the otter switch out and played with the wiring until i found it was the plug where the fan joins the car wiring loom not pushed in properly. My fans cut out as soon as ign is cut, not sure if the run on type is a mod or was fitted later....mine's a 95 4.0 serp

Yep, both come on together but i think mod-wise do a kit that brings them on independently.

AFAIK mod-wise do a kit that brings both fans on at half speed before the full speed and a kit that allows them to run for one cycle after the ignition is turned off. Not sure about the running one fan before the other one though.
