Selling via ebay

Hi everyone

I was just wondering if anyone had sold their Chimaera through ebay and how much pain it was?

Obviously I'll also stick it in PH and probably autotrader but I thought ebay might be a good option as I'm not expecting to get much for it.

I'm thinking it might be time for a Tamora so I'm not dumping the marque completely

I've kinda sold 2 TVR'S through Ebay and on both occasions the publicity generated from the auction is what put me in touch with the buyer so as car ads go I think its 30 quid well spent.

Just sold mine through an e-bay classifieds (not an auction). No problems at all and lots of interest - weirdly had no interest through Pistonheads, which is unusual as I sold my Elise and my Clio Cup through Pistonheads quickly.

sold my last car through ebay auction. didn't get quite what i wanted but sold the car within a week and the winner was a really nice guy who just came, paid the full amount in cash and drove off smiling.

Sounds like some good experiences then chaps. I guess I was put off a bit due to a bad experience when I was looking to buy the Chimaera a few years ago.

Have to agree. Exactly what happened to me, but it wasn't a TVR.

The next day I went to go and pick up my TVR.

How much are you expecting to advertise the car for, I'll be in the market within a few days.

I was thinking maybe somewhere around £8k.

The more I think about it the more confused I get to be honest. In all honesty it could do with a front end respray due to the usual stonechips and given that I do very, very few miles in it at the moment I was thiking that maybe I'd get that done and hold on to it for another year.

On the other hand, I've had it nearly 4 years and I'm thinking I should get rid now and get a Tam.

On yet another hand it's the only car I've ever had that I haven't got bored with and I almost feel unfaithful thinking about selling it

Of course if someone was to make me an offer before it was even advertised I'd have to think very seriously about accepting it lol

How much are you expecting to advertise the car for, I'll be in the market within a few days.

I am also about to advertise mine on ebay if looking for a green one in fine fettle, it's advertised on PH and is a cracker.
