IT`S BEEN THE LONGEST TEN DAYS OF MY LIFE BUT I FINALLY PICK UP MY 1ST CHIMAERA TOMORROW MORNING. CAN`T SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF THE GARAGE IN WHICH I FOUND HER, THEY HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC. TRUE PROFESSIONALS WITH FIRST CLASS ATTITUDE. HINDHEAD`S A NICE PLACE TOO,ALTHOUGH MY WIFE THINKS I`M BONKERS DRIVING 85 MILES TO BUY A CAR.CAN`T WAIT FOR THE DRIVE BACK THO!! AM I MAD OR IS IT QUITE NORMAL TO BE WAKING UP AT 2 EVERY MORNING AND WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE THINKING OF TVR`S?! THIS IS A GREAT SITE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO TALKING TO FELLOW INSOMNIACS. GOD I`M EXCITED.

85 miles to lick up a car - I did 125! Drive back was so good - had to do a lap of honour

Nice car Al!
Is it a 5.0?
I bought mine there too.
I'm glad I did.
Can be a bit tricky getting the little warranty bits done as his main man is always so busy.
Book early!
Welcome to the fold.

It was you buying this one that persuaded me to go in to Adrain Blyth's for the test drive 4 days earlier than planned ... immediately after which I bought one there too!

I was looking at the choosing between the silver 5.0, your blue 5.0 and the Atlantis Halcyon 4.5 - the two 5.0s had gone in 3 days and I didn't want to risk it!

So is it the final bit of work being done on your car that means mine won't be ready tomorrow?
Just kidding; I know from the work they're doing to mine before delivery that they make sure every car sold gets to the new owner in tip-top condition ... and I can see where the money you pay extra over a private purchase goes (apart from warranty and peace of mind!):

4 new tyres, new top wishbones, new rear shocks, fix oil leaks, fix boot strut, fix wipers (the weather was dry when I drove it) and apply Waxoyl and roof treatment ... plus the Optimax battery charger being fitted.
I daren't think what it would have cost me if it wasn't all being done as part of the standard pre-delivery inspection!

Roll-on late Thursday or Friday lunchtime ...

. .and I spent two hours cleaning it after you saw me!
Needed an O/D of Autoglym etc . .
Seriously, I am impressed with the condition of me paint job - considering the car is nearly 5 years old . . .

Enjoy! Picked mine up three weeks ago. Can't keep out of the driving seat.

Big hand to the guys in Arkley, too.

I've almost done 2 weeks in mine. I've had the first TVR-moment on Sunday when the inertia reel managed to lock itself so I couldn't get my seatbelt on. Took me about 30 mins to sort that out. Thank goodness I had the bible.

Also had my first meet with the TVRCC-Surrey meet at the Royal Oak on Sunday as well. Top bunch they were too.

Get out on some meets, you won't regret it.
