I have the Peninsular ones, don't know who makes the ones you are referring to?

I'll second that question, ive just stripped the wishbones off of my car ready for new bones, ball joints and bushes, the bits dont seem to come cheap.

So why were they not made like this in the first place? More expensive to make? Thought they would be cheaper, surely?

They look the same as these http://www.pdqdevelopments.co.uk/ExhaustSuspension...
which are much cheaper. This could be where Racing Green get them from.
I've got a set I’m just about to fit once the chassis prep and painting is finished. They look to be very good quality so far.

PDQ Developments are £380 per pair (not stated Vat inc or ex) The RG ones are £156.66each including VAT (£313.32 Inc Vat. What am i missing that makes the PDQ ones much cheaper?

Isn't it £380 for a "front wishbone set" - the set, as in all four?

Yeah good point. Just had a front end in mine which bent a front lower wishbone. Absolutely no damage to chassis! Any impact on the wheel was absorbed in the wishbone section. Guess this answers my question further up of why they were not tubular in the first place?

Ah, i see now, me being stoopid silly
As i look at it again, it seems PDQ set = Upper AND Lower, RG just = lower. Thanks for pointing that out.

note to self, read the bloody description before you buy

Maybe they could be considerably stronger than the originals and there still wouldn't be any damage to the chassis. In fact you might argue that if they were a bit stronger there might not be any damage to the wishbones either in smaller knocks.

When you compare the TVR wishbones to what holds the wheels in place in most cars they look like rubbish, strength and quality wise.
