Hi, Guys - I know that this has been discussed before, but the problem I have encountered in removing the centre console has not been mentioned. After undoing the screws at the front and back of the console I can lift it enough to disconnect the wiring and clear the door opener (94 Chim), but the door cables appear to go through a section of the console, so I cannot lift further without disconnecting either the door end, which looks like a nightmare to rethread, or the knob end (if you'll excuse the expression!), which I can't see or get at. Anyone run into this one before? And how did you sort it?

The twist knob is only fixed down with screws so just undo and thread through.

Its only the central spine that lifts up, the 'padded saddle' bit bit should just separate from it and stay in situ - most of the cables are just sandwiched between these two parts.

Thanks, guys, I did not know it was in 2 pieces - mine was so solid I needed a serious lever to get them apart. Done now, though, and gear linkage properly greased. Cheers
