Where is the fault code reader plug? The ECU is mounted under the dash, but I cannot find the plug on the loom.

Thanks

Jon

On the Griff its in the loom along with other relays and stuff next to the battery. I just pull the loom out which is pushed in the gap between the battery and the side of the footwell.

I have a fault code reader with a black 4 pin plug. the plug on the loom is a white 3 pin one. Can anyone tell me the wiring config or is the white plug used for something else?

Hello Jon,

i have a LHD Chimaera 5.0 build in 1996. It has the white and the black connector.
For the fault code reader (PRC7067) you must use the black connector. It comes out from the loom near the white one. You are very close ... don't give up. The black one must be there!
If you see the rest from the loom and the ECU then you must see also the black connector.

May be in some older Chimaeras it is possible that there are some difference.

Unplugged the ECU today to see if the plug was there on the loom but still no luck. Its a 1994 Chim which has the battery in the boot (very unusual) and the ECU is under ther dash behind a panel on the passenger side. I will have a another look tomorrow. Bit dizzy today after being upside down for so long.

I'm sure i read somewhere that some of the early chims don't have one !!!
Mine is near the end of the loom with the fuel pump & ECU relays on the end.

(I've increased the brightness and contrast in this picture, so you can see the black connector better.)
