I have been doing a bit of re trimming & its worked out really well. The problem is that the new burgandy leather shows up the the state of the vinyl bits.
Whats the best stuff to uses to get the ingrained dirt off to begin with & whats best to finish it off with?
The new leather has a nice matt sheen & it would be nice to be able to get the same sort of finish on the vinyl sections. The vinyl cleaners I have tried always leave a shiny slippery finish.

Have you tried Vanish Oxy Action crystals? (in the pink pot)
Someone on here recommended it a while ago for cleaning both leather seats and vinyl.
Mix a table spoon of Vanish with about a third of a pint of water and mix until dissolved.
Then just rub on to vinyl and bob's your auntie.
My leather seats came up like new. (treated with leather cream afterwards however)
You must wear the wifes marigolds however as it takes all the oil out of your skin.
Cheers.

I use stuff called "One-up" to clean and then another product called "Re-Hydrate" to keep the leather/vinyl supple and it smells like new leather too, from a company called Simple Solutions who sell Car Valet supplies to the trade. The finish lasts for ages, so you only need to reapply every few months or so.

All you need is spray on leather cleaner from a tack shop no scrubbing! dont ever use silicone spray or back to black on vinyl as it eventually makes it brittle and crack also good old soapy water works well too

Muk-Off id good on vinyl but try a small descret area first or

Pampers. the ones for babies bums.
They are also good for leather as they are Ph neutral.

Thanks again for the advice. I used the Oxy powder & made up a solution. Put it on with a sponge & wiped it off a minute or so later. I got lots of muck of. Any really grubby bits just needed a harder rub. it's left a nice sheen as well so I am not sure if I need to put anything else on it to finish it off.

As for pictures I have not taken any yet.
For those that are interested My interior was 1/2 tan leather with Cranberry carpets. The only bits that were not tan were the top of the dash and top of the doors. These are black.
I bought a hide in burgandy leather (£35! Bargain!!) & have used some to replace the carpeted bits of the doors & the bolsters either side of the center consol.
I still need to put my ali dash in & replace some of the carpet.
I am having a sod of a job trying to match the existing colour but I don't want to rip out & replace the whole lot when only a few bits are tatty.
