Afternoon All
Just noticed this afternoon that the first time the door release button was pressed (under mirror) once the immobiliser had been turned off, the drivers door didnt open and it needed a second press. Sounds like the mechanism was working, just didnt release. It was fine after this, but then did the same thing again after immobiliser had been set and turned off again.
Also, boot release seemed to do the same thing, ie not opening on first press but fine on second. Any ideas? Is this a sign that the solenoids are about to go and i'll be stranded unable to get in the car, or fill up with fuel??

Both my door release motors are weak: I suppose I should have replaced them a couple of years ago. Both need two or three goes before the doors open. Filling the mechanism with silicon spray adds some life to it.
Boot release is OK, except when it hasn't been opened for a while in which case it might need a couple of goes to 'break the seal'.
