Following on from my previous post 'poor running after lay, I have noticed when turning the ignition off (the engine doesnt have to have been running) there is a metallic buzzing sound for about 1 to 2 secs that appears to be coming from somewhere around the plenum chamber (not the fuel low meter).

This is after the ignition is off !

Is this normal as I havent noticed it before.

Also the plugs seem sooted up.

Any ideas anyone ?

( I have checked the ignition leads for a misfire -nothing obvious)

Mine does it too, so hopefully not a problem, I just assumed it was something settling down.

It is the stepper motor, quite normal. Its winding back, ready for the next restart.

Thanks everybody.

Now to continue looking for the problem elsewhere then.
