Rear light covers

Hello PH's,
I have a question about the rearlight covers (Perspex?) on a Chim.
going through the various ads and looking at the pictures, it seems to me there are 2 types of these. one type is very lightly coloured, almost clear, while on other pictures the lenses look a dark smoky colour.
is this true, or is it only because of the pictures. mine are almost clear, but I would like them darker. is there a possibility to dye them?

and another question, being german I under most of the conversations but some abreviations I do not understand.
what means: YHM, HTH, LOL,

Hello Andy,
yes I got a new chim waiting for me to pick it up. I just returned from the hospital 3 days ago where they got the steel parts out of my shoulder again. on the 30th I will be heading for Bristol to pick the car up. I selected some from PH, my friend drove to test them all and finally bought one for me. it is parked in front of his garage now and I am really longing to have a go again.
