Suspect Coil Resistance

Checked the coil resistance today. Is this in range?

Primary - 1.1 ohms
Seconadary - 7420 ohms

Have just measured my TVR OE coil for you, primary 0.7 Ohms, secondary 5.96 K Ohms, so I guess yours is about right..

I assume theres a range of resistance.

Mines an Intermotor coil - was thinking of getting a Bosch one if it was no good.

Out of interest I have also measured the new Bosch coil that I recently fitted, primary 1.0 ohms, secondary 9.1K ohms, I guess this will result in a higher output voltage, as the turns ratio will be much high.
