I want to check my throttle pot readings, but the wires are a diffrerent set of colours to the ones on the old Wedge. Pic on this thread;

It's easy..

Just connect the black of your multimeter to the (-) on the battery .. a jump lead is good for this then with the ignition on test each wire until you find on with a voltage around 0.3 volts.

Bingo - that;s the one you want to test..

At rest it should be 0.3 volts and when you apply the throttle it should increase smoothly until it reads around 4 volts ... the actual value (untimate) does not matter I believe.

The basic voltages are ground, (0 volts), 5 volts, and that ".3 volts". As already said, its all about a smooth voltage change as you open the throttle. Tweeking the ".3" volts by rotating the pot body appears to be a requirment of the 14cu type ECU,(as on the Wedge) not the 14cux so dont adjust it. The throttle pot on this ECU does not have the elongated holes to allow adjustment anyway and the ECU is smart enough to work out the throttle shut value for itself!
