Wiring Diagram
Discussion
Would be easy enough to check the circuits to the injectors...+ve feeds from one of the tin relays in the footwell (to pin 2 on each inj connector), with the pin 1 side being switched earths from the ECU - pin 11 for cyls 2,4, 6 + 8 and pin 13 for the others. Of course, continuity testing the circuit won't tell you the injectors are receiving a 'signal' ('though you can make sure 12v is there on the +ve side with the pump primed), but if you search on some of the recent Emerald threads (think it's the Emerald blues one), you'll find some good advice from Green V8S and co on how even the signal might be checked without the need for a scope
Just check that there is a constant 12v at the injectors, and that the other connector is continuous to the ecu - the ecu 'pulses' just ground the injector. The ECU wont fire the injectors if there is no indication that the engine is turning... so it may be the ECU. There are quite a few RV8 / TVR ECU schematics, any one of them should give you an idea of how it works, but as for wiring YMMV

Sorry being thick, how does the ecu know the engine is turning.
Yes we have 12v at injectors but no pulsing

The only source for a wiring diagram that I'm aware of is the Steve Heath Chim/Griff Bible. You could buy or borrow a copy. I'm sure Steve would take exception to someone copying pages from his book.
But surely there must be a TVR original wiring diagram floating around? There may well be more versions of TVR wiring diagrams than the whole of Land Rover has seen in its long existence. Luckily the ECU one is pretty consistent, and even comparable with the LR/RR versions. As I noted earlier the only changes regarding the ECU seem to relate to the bit around the powered circuits out of the main & fuel relays, and a few of the wire colours used, so you can just about figure it out from any old diagram... If you want an exact representation, make your own

Hi Neil, I have the 96 revision Chimaera wiring diagram, but it is in A3 and laminated so cannot copy this until Tuesday, (this version then has all the separate diagrams for the car) HOWEVER at the point you require the help it says...ECU to Land Rover Loom. Adrian@
That would be of great helpcheers

Hi Adrian, If there is any chance of a copy of the wiring diag I would be most grateful.Cheers Andy
Hi Andy/Neal, I might not be able to do this....these are laminated A3 sheets, my scanner is only A4 and these are washing over grey (I presume that this is the non reflective laminate sheeting that they were covered in, but then there was not a choice when I blagged the print shop into laminating them!) Post to me direct and I will get them into the print shop Tuesday and try again. (I never laminated the originals, I just did not think about getting copies made of the originals, which went back to the factory, when one day they rang to ask for help, as they had no copies to work from, I thought it best that I sent their originals back!!! Might be a daft idea but what about a decent photo of it?
I have left them with the print shop..to pull in a favour, These are not the 1992 version of the that is in Steves book, but cover the MK2 (drawings date 8/8/96) car and sub sections from the main loom...air con/fuse board/mirrors/rist,s relay board etc.(I have all the upgrades along from the 1992 diagram too....Being a TVR specialist, I thought that everyone had these as reference to repair work! Adrian@PS These are my only working copies and so they are not going to stray too far away from me for too long.
