HI there

Sorting out a few cooling probs. Had the bright idea to change the temp sender out (never trusted it!!) NOw, the sender is on an extension on the front of the engine. Removed all this and assembled the sender off the engine. However, club-fisted, I broke the thread of the extension piece putting it back in the engine. I am now trying to get the threaded portion out using an Easy-out, without removing the dizzy if I can.
Question is, where do I get another extension piece???

Cheers

Phil

Its a Land rover part, so most partco places should be able to help you out, just say its for range rover of the same year as your car

HI again

Can anyone verify that mine is a standard arrangement. There is a hex adaptor screwed into the inlet manifold, into which fits the brass adaptor (which I've broken)into which fits the sender. I've spoken to L-R and R-R people none of whom can identify the adaptor that I need.
This brass adaptor is around 21/2 inches long with male thread at one end (1/8"NPT??)and female at the other, into which screws the sender. One R-R chap told me this point beside the thermostat on R-Rs is where the bypass hose comes off. I see there is the original R-R sender on top of the manifold although it is a smaller thread size. Why did TVR decide to install a new one??

Was this a bespoke TVR addition?? Will I struggle to find one???

Any further help appreciated.

Phil

Right in that case try your local pneumatics / hydraulics supplier as they stock all sorts of adaptors, Even RS stock 'em

Its probably an 1/8 BSPT to M8 or something
