Thanks for that, but the number plate light means replacing the whole unit, MOT failure, I think they may be produced by Hella ?

If your odometer is still stuck after tapping (you need to tap hard by the way) then it needs to be fixed. If you remove the dash top yourself and pop it out its about £70 to send away and get it fixed.

Hi, I recently bought two from 'clevor-trevor tvr parts' for approx £6 each.

Hope you get sorted.

If your rear number plate is backlit then do what I did a few years ago and buy replacement(s) via ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STAG-MkII-REAR-NUMBER-PLATE-...

Again, if back-lit, don't try and fit 'externally' but from whithin the boot. Peel back the glued carpet and all will be revealed. Be sure to cover the edges with silicone sealant once they've been screwed tightly.

Mine sometimes stops on nn,999 roll over.
2 options
1) leave it, it'll probably carry on sooner or later
(also keeps the mileage downwink)

2) I thump the edge of the speedo (NOT the glass) with the side of my fist. This usually cures it straight away, if not a second or third thump will sort it. ("tapping" it never worked for me) you will notice the trip meter start moving first.

Or use Rimmer Bros - Triumph specialists, very efficient.
