Hi, can anybody give me a rough idea of cost i would expect for removal of engine and refit? My engine is great, unfortunately i have 2 sheared engine mounting bolts in the block on left.. so only one bolt holding it at the moment, the bolts would need drilling out and re-threading too of course.

About £600 depending on who you get to do it!

£600 u think , ok, that doesnt sound too severe i suppose, there alot to get out the way before it can come out! I just pray the engine mounting bolt holes can be re-tapped satisfactorily. Thanks for your reply.

You might want to think about anything else you'd like to have done while the engine is out. I had my clutch replaced as the vast majority of the cost of this is the labour which you're paying for anyway.

Make sure that you get a fixed price. Have seen this kind of thing get very expensive?

Thanks guys, yes i had thought that would be a good idea, i only very recently bought the car, and i have a bill for a clutch not too many miles ago, will make sure its inspected while out, may get some oil seals done while things are apart too.
