Have you got an eezi bleed kit from Halfrauds? Dead easy with one.

When i replaced all my hoses for braided ones i faced similar issues.

Back bleeding gave some pedal feel- use a oil type can and hose and force fluid back into system that way! The air bubbles will bleed to the top and when the bubbles are clear, its bled!

However I only got a semi pedal. In the end it bled up no problem with the engine running, the servo assistance seemed to help!

As said, use an ezibleed, well worth the investment.

Been meaning to get round and change mine.

What is the recommended fluid that you DIY'ers use? I get really confused with the various 4.1, 5.1, and some is only suitable for particular hoses fitted etc, etc. confused

Or am I just being a complete numpty paperbag

Cheers

From empty or if you have replaced a hose etc.) jack the front drivers side up and support that side with an axle stand, then bleed as normal, The system appears to hold an air lock which the angle seems to free up.

Just replaced all the hoses for braided, changed the front calipers, pads & disks for standard 500 Chim / Griff type replaced DOT4 for 5.1. <10 mins to bleed system with Eezibleed kit from Halfords. £16.49 well spent.
