unfortunately my car was hit by seagull missiles this morning, not wanting to wash the car until it got cooler and shadier I just rinsed the seagull poops off with water. Now I find after washing and waxing Im still left with water droplet marks, its awful so any tips on how to get my paintwork pristine would be really good right now. frown

Have the same problem regularly (mainly because I don't trust chamois leather/myself much and tend to try and wash my cars early or late in the day, hoping that i can skip the rinsing/drying part and the dried tap water syndrom won't occur) and usually solve it with application of a freah coat of wax/polish on the horizontal parts (bonnet, bootlid, roof if it has onewink ).

always dry my car with a microfiber cloth after cleaning, that will stop them happening again.

I always wash and wax my car every outing and always use micrfibre clothes but because it was really hot I only washed the offending article off then left the whole car for later, bad move. I have washed the whole car and waxed twice with maguires now but the marks are still visible (by me) and Im worried they wont come out. Think I'll invest in the three system of maguires. Cheers guys

could try claybar. The spots could be under the last coat of wax or bits of poop you couldn't see before. You might be in a heavy water area ( think thais right) lots of extra calcium in water? If you rinse off with warm water, then dab dry with fibre cloth. You could aslo use a detail spray to give it a quick shine, saves on full waxing.

You missed the polishing step. A wash will get most of it off but waxing wont help, your are just applying a protective coating it has no cleaning properties. A gentle polish will see off those marks.

As above...
When waxing your car, it will only look as good as the prep work prior to it. i.e polishing, claying etc.
Autoglym Super Resin Polish is a very good product and will remove rain spots with minimal effort ( not to meantion fill in any swirl marks) Then put a coat of wax over the top or a synthetic sealant like Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection.
As already meantioned dry your car with a Microfibre drying towel and throw your chamois in the bin!!
