My fuel pump is getting louder and louder. I've recently had the car serviced (fuel filter included)

Another possibly related problem is when running low on fuel it starts missing and hesitating.

Could it be the fuel pump is on the way out? Is it an easy replacement and is a replacement one easy to find?

Cheers

Check the fuel pressure with the engine running if its low try clamping the return line of the regulator if it doesn't respond then its time for new one

My cars pump went loud when the carbon can was a little blocked. The tank had a vacuum. I ended up "modifing" the petrol cap which solved the noisewink

I have suspected the Carbon canister for a while now - how hard is it to replace?

Mine got noisier when the pre-filter in the tank got blocked - the pump failed shortly afterwards. I think the noise was probably cavitation in the pump caused by it pulling against a vacuum, so similar in some ways to the 'blocked carbon cannister' problem.
