Oil breathers

The small breather at the rear of the rocker cover (passenger side)has a plastic cap and foam filter clipped onto a raised metal stem with a flat top. When I pulled these off to give them a clean, the metal disc which they clip on to didn't seem to have a vent through to the rocker cover. There is a small circular depression in the middle of it which looks like where the hole should be, but this is solid metal on mine.
Am I missing something or are these breathers not needed on the TVR engine and have been capped off?

Hi,

the breather hole is there it is approximately 2 mm in diameter (in the centre of the depression), mine was clogged up too. Best thing I found to clean out the hole was a needle.
