New and proud owner of a gorgeous Chim. Grinning, but can anyone tell me the average you can expect from a tank of fuel? The gauge just bounces around and I drive hard, as one does...! At the moment I'm re-fuelling every 200 miles to be on the safe side, but I'm crap at maths...!

It depends how you drive and how far etc... i.e. on a longer run I've had around 250 from a tank, but around the doors, stop start motoring expect less.

Welcome to the world of TVR... bouncing guages and all... enjoy

Like Red said, depends what you do and how you do it. Commuting on a long trip and reasonable pace, I regularly get over 250. If I take it easy, it can rise to over 300 - when I deliberatley did a few gentle runs, I could get 27/28 mpg, which others have validated on here. If I'm just p*ssing about and I don't try and work it out - it's best not to.

I normally fill up after 160 miles (3/4 of a tank) as I don't really trust my guage. Depending on how I drive 160 miles can be 3/4 of a tank or a full tank so I don't take chances.
Best I had was 8mpg on a track day and you could almost see the needle going down!

On standard ECU I've had as much as 240 and as little as 110 from a tank wobble On Emerald I've had as much as 260 (though not tried a really economic run on the 'economy' map yet! and as little as 170 with some really hard driving! thumbup

My 4 litre is fairly consistently averaging 25 MPG over the last 500 miles- and that was all with the top down
