There are only the pinion and two half shaft seals, are they what you mean?

Ribol, is there definitely a drain plug on the BTR?, Im asking because I wanted to fully replace the oil and reading your previous posts
I can only find the big hex plug on the drivers side like you describe. I think Im missing the obvious !

Hey great pic Ribol, much appreciated.

When Nikman is back from Spain we will have to meet up for a beer.

Sorry I guess I hijacked your post mate bow

My BTR has fins on the lower front portion - the old GKN type has fins on the rear IIRC, if not Im gonna be shot down very soon !

Check out the viscosity from the metal plate on the offside wing/handbook and go for a synthetic with a well known name.
Got my Castrol from Opie. HTH

TBH Rich I think that should be fine, the important thing is it is for an LSD diff.
The only thing I have found on a related search though is this, where it appears the handbook for a GKN states a lower viscosity.

I would confirm with the Opie lads in the morning.

The BTR does have fins underneath as well as having "BTR" cast into it.
The GKN one looks completely different to the BTR, one recently sold on Ebay, you may still be able to view it. If you are interested the item number is 140231211880.

My BTR is filled with Morris LODEXOL XFS 80W/140, recommended to me by someone whose advice I trust. No doubt there are other brands just as good, TVR filled them with the Mobil equivalent from the factory.
