back in the fold
Discussion
Just purchased a '97 Chimaera from Fernhurst, my second Chimaera in the last 4 years from there. I should be picking it up next Saturday and can't wait
Couple of questions that I wanted to get some opinions on;
1. I've got to park the car outside for a while on the drive (couple of months while I sort the garage) and wondered if any here has used a car cover? Are they any good, do they work or is it worth not bothering?
2. I'm thinking of getting the afterburner style rear lights as a small modification. What's the consensus opinion on these and does anyone know how I can get matching paint (mica red) to colour code the lights?
So, can't wait to get back into the groove. It's been a while and during the test drive I was reminded how powerful these cars are, so I'll be taking it easy for a while, but guaranteed I'll be clocking up a fair few miles over the next few weeks

Firstly...Congrats on the new addition! Glad to see the Mica find an owner, it's been alongside the Halcyon i have my eye on for a little while. Glad it now has a home!

thanks!
Counting the days now, this is going to be a long week. Given the weather today (live in the south) I'll be getting the garage cleared out ASAP!
I'll post some pics here on the happy day, really looking forward to giving my 5 month old son a ride back from Fernies
Indeed! I was down @ Fernies today & i saw the more expensive Mica outside, i guess yours was tucked up inside out the rain now it's been nabbed Counting the days now, this is going to be a long week. Given the weather today (live in the south) I'll be getting the garage cleared out ASAP!

I leave mine out all year and have never had a real problem yet - even with all the rain this weekend. The only place water gets to that it shouldn't is inside the rear offside light cover.
Presumably that's 'cos I park it with it's 'ass is pointing to where the main weather comes from.
I was at Fernie's this morning taking my Chim in to have some 'enhancements' fitted - saw Bryan driving a Mica Chim with a couple of rear axles stacked on the parcel shelf - not your's I hope?
