I'd have thought unscrewing the knob, pulling the gaiter off then replacing both should take you all of five minutes.

It is only glued under the lip of the console and, as already posted, you can unscrew the knob, prise the gaiter away from the console and away you go.

Getting the new one glued back in place might be an altogether more difficult proposition!

Mines only tucked in. I had it out (not off the lever) to clean the grime out.

Beg pardon, mines just tucked also.

Should be a piece of p*ss then.

It was the console trim that should be glued, mine has started to unglue itself, and it was in the back of my mind that I need to get round to glueing it back again.

Has anyone replaced their gaitors, if so where did you obtain the new one? My Griff gaitor has split, and looks even worse since I tried Evosticking it!

My replacement came from TMS. Unfortunately my magnolia trim is a little faded and grimey compared with the bright colourful new one.....

Actually its not too bad, but I thought I'd mention it.

Anyone here remember "All Gas & Gaiters".
Rubbish wasn't it, but better than the rubbish on TV today.

My magnolia vinyl was looking pretty grubby, but came up quite nicely after a pretty energetic scrub with a nail brush and some soap. I may well have missed the point, but I can't see the point of buying specialist vinyl cleaner. The vinyl is pretty tough stuff and seems to have withstood the scrubbing without any problems. Door trim, door cards and centre console can be removed fairly easily (10mm spanner and a couple of screw drivers). Once off they can be carted off to the bathroom for a scrub. Makes sense not to get any padding on the back of the vinyl wet ... and also not to let wife/girlfriend see you borrowing nail brush and bathroom.
