Hey everyone.

Tried changing a plug. Got cross threaded. Thread repair didn't go well....!!

Looking at a replacement head. Seen a pair on eBay for £200. Only need drivers side really.

Also can anyone give me a rough idea in terms what to expect the labour to cost for swapping over a head?

Much appreciated.

Remove your head and get an insert put in it(most good engineers)heaven knows what crap you could pick up buying s/hand heads for the RV8 you could end up with a head more bent than Boy Georgewink Wurth do a kit that you can use with the head in situ, have used it myself and have never failed to do one in situ or not able to repair a damaged thread stripped/crossed or otherwise.

A pair of heads on ebay for £200 are most unlikely to be genuine TVR as fitted to a Chimarea. A significant amount of work went in to gas-flowing and porting the heads whether or not bigger valves were fitted. Obviously your heads need to be matched, so repair of yours is the better option.
