Can anyone recommend a good place to service my chim

in and around the Peterborough area as this is my first service

since buying it last Nov?

Offords did a good job on repairing my outriggers are they a good

choice on servicing?

They did a lot of work for me in March and they seems to do a good job. I've checked over the car and all the big service stuff looks like its had attention smile.

Cheers Dan, I was pleased with the work they did for me but they have received some bad press of late and I needed some reassurance.

I (along with a LOT of PHers from around the area) use Sebring who are up near Wisbech www.sebringinternational.co.uk, Matt their TVR mechanic is ace and really knows his stuff.
Mines going in for service with them next weekend.

PS - Nice choice of colour, though I may be a bit biased!

Hi

Other options would seem to be Prestige Performance Cars, Autotune or Castle Race Engines which don't seem too far away. Not sure if V8 Developments also do a full service.

There is a map of where they all are here..... http://www.performancecarindex.co.uk/

Cheers

Hi, agree with Zippee, never heard a bad word about matt at Sebring. Am intending to take mind there for servicing. he did me a very comprehensive inspection a month ago, as I was completley new to TVR.

Very nice chap, knows his stuff, no bullsh*t.

Friend of mine had his Cerbera serviced there recently, good job too from all accounts.

I would love to hear of other peoples experiences with Sebring.

Did he used to work at Brundles (just south of Kings Lynn) ages ago until they closed shop?

More than happy with Offords (again). Just had 6k service, MOT, 4 CV gaiters (proper ones not cheap 2 glued ones), fuel hoses and sump resealed. All done for an acceptable price and managed to squeeze it into a days work - plus a Saab 9000 Convertible for the day.

As for the Cherry Bomb thread - laughable! Mine's had it done and it sounds so much better than the sports exhaust conversions I had by Austec and Leven in the past.

I agree with RIP. I had sports exhaust conversion done at Ofords and am very pleased with it. Best money I ever spent

I would vote for Sebring, my mate had some work done on his wedge at Offords and wasn't particularly happy. I've been going to Sebring with my Chimaera for several years now and they have always done a great job at very fair prices too.

I too would second the work of Matt at Sebrings - a first rate bloke and a well polished engineer that knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. My Tuscan has just been in for a big service and it's running very sweetly.
