Supercharged Chimaera
Discussion
Heh guys (inc. ladies!) i tried searching but didnt find any threads on SC Power supercharging or in fact much at all on supercharging!
Has anyone got experience of their conversion for a 4.0 Chim? Is it worth the money etc etc etc
I'm considering getting TVR Power in Cov to fit it to mine so i would welcome any comments or suggestions before i take the plunge!
thanks
Andy

A few have been done now. They are very highly rated as value for money and performance gain. I changed my 4L lump to a 5L and modified further to get a real 300bhp. I would have definitely gone down the supercharger route if it had been developed at the time. The only prerequisite is that your 4L engine is in good health.
For further customer opinion look up 'IM' in the members list and look at his profile. His was one of the first and much has been posted about it.

hi i have got a sepercharged chimaera (4.0)and in one word it is great ,the performance improvement is amazing and as for mid range its brilliant .i cannot praise dom and jason at tvr power enough for the job they did on my car they has transformed it !!pound for bhp i think it has to best performance mod you could get (IMHO)it may not be a cheap mod but once driven there is no looking back (except for cops)
Hi guys thanks for the feed back which sounds mega!! Well it looks like a call to TVR power tomorrow based on the feed back. Car has only just done 20k miles and did 2600 miles few weeks ago driving to south france with Driving adventures...mainly at high speed and without a hic up! so i think he will be just fine.
By the way i fitted gaz gold and SP12 alloys 17 fronts and 18 rears and it was incredible handling
just need to sort brakes out now as had a few close calls with cerbra stopping infront of me and mine being rather a lot slower to stop...oops!
thanks again guys and will pm you Ian so we can have a chat

You've had another one come through.

g mental! Beats the crap out of my 450 (by a million miles!) but he told me that to do the upgrade you really must be certain that your engine and associated parts are in tip top order.
