Hi I'm a new Chim owner and really need some advice of where to go for a service (indepedant) in the Midlands. I live near to Bromsgrove M5,Junc4.

Also any advice on hot starting? It starts first time when cool but after it's been run it's a b**ger to start. Should i give it a little gas or leave well alone and just turn it over? Some times it will take 5-6 go's before it fires up.
Thanks for any advice.
Lee

Clarke's in Bromsgrove - I think they've just been renamed? They were a franchised dealer but not sure any more?

David Gerald's in Inkberrow - a specialist with a good reputation.

Team Proactive in Birmingham - used to be Team Central a few years back.

TVR Power in Coventry - the best by far.

Adrian Venn in Coventry - ?

There is always midland classic restorations on the A449 between kidderminster and worcester.

He gets anything in there from midgets to E-types.

and he's done a lot of work on my Chimaera, including servicing and fitting a towerview roll bar

if somthing needs doing he'll tell you. if somthing doesnt need doing he'll also tell you

speak to Dom on 07977535489

p.s. Clarkes are Now street tvr , part of the droitwich landrover group and are franchised.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think i'll give the independants a call first, i've seen the Midlands classics garage but didn't realise they worked on Chim's.

Thanks

Hi

Midland classic and sportscar and midland classic restorations are actually 2 separate companies working together from the same site. MC@S are more MG and mx5 parts where as dom is restorations and service. He has also just started racing an MG and is looking to expand into the motorsports preparation area too.

There is also a 3rd company Midland classic trim who surprisingly do seats ect.

Dom is currently helping me get my rear window in the chim replaced after the stereo was stolen...

have fun
