Just a quick note to say I've put together a web site about overall impressions of Chimaera's, both driving and living. It's meant to give potential owners a bit of a feel for what it's like to own one of these beasts but certainly isn't meant to be detailed. Feedback would be welcome though so have a look if you have a few minutes. There are nearly 5500 words on it so it might pass a few minutes on!
Sadly, just as I've got the site up, I'm having to sell the motor (see Classifieds)!

Wow - that's a labour of love!
Superb!
Only suggestion is to sort out the gallery to use small thumbnail files rather than a rescaled monster; the page takes a while to load even on broadband. Once you get that sorted out, perhaps a few more of your excellent piccies scattered through the rest of the site....
But I'm nit-picking. Well done

What a belter of a review!
I'm a prospective owner, sussing out the in's and out's of ownership and that is probably the best thing I've found so far (apart from PH and my first test drive of course which was amazing
) to make me really think very seriously about a YES decision.
Am working abroad at the moment but am due back in 2 weeks and am going to put your links page to good use!
Don't forget to let us know when you've had time to update it.

Very well Done Site - and alot of work I'm sure - maybe a little to pro the good points - no 500 ever making more than 280bhp in real world and brakes (std) are Crap.
Good point about targa - pointless apart from making for a simple mecahnism - and anyone driving with the back up and targa bit in boot just looks totally gay and is impossibly noisy. 9000 miles on a set of tyres! Must be spinning wheels ALL the time! - but fronts should last 20k easy.
NICE ONE.

Hi, I have just read your Chimaera web site , i am a relatively new Chimaera driver, before purchasing one looked into everything about them, its well written and fair.
I must admit i have never become so attached to a car, which either means i have lost the plot, or just really appreciate the tvr experience...Good read!!!Cheers

This is all good feedback folks, please keep it coming. I'm taking note of the things you mention and have already reduced the size of the thumbnails. I think even I've realised the site needs spicing up which is the upshot so far. Text wise, any ommisions, mis representations etc, keep letting me know. Feel free to email these direct at webmaster@tvr-chimaera.com if you'd prefer. Any Chimaera related links you feel are a must have, let me know and I'll update the Internet Guide section. Appreciate your time all.

Nice site with good information and easy-to-read style.
The only criticisms are:
The background (as mentioned) is quite hard to read against so I would suggest making it a little lighter.
A few grammar errors (*lots* of "it's" short for "it is" rather than "its" meaning "belonging to it") and rare confused sentences:
"The stereo has to be cranked way up to be heard ... but can be heard clearly at any speed" on Performance 2
So only picky little things ... nice site!

I wonder if I can find one before BTaP?
