Hi there

Can't believe the trouble I am having with a spark plug. No 6 is the prob. Have removed the heater pipes to aid access. No joy. Now looking to remove manifolds to further aid access.
Have tried all sorts to get it to start. Even (tentatively) a thread chaser. Still no joy.
Now looking to maybe having to remove the head to sort this out.
Any advice on how to go about this. Obviously all the plenum and god knows how much other stuff will need to be removed.....oh no!!!

Everything seems to be so difficult to do!! Just removing the heater pipes was a full day with a visit to Halfrauds thrown in!!

Could I remove the head myself,or am I likely to run into further problems.

Completely cheesed off

Phil (can't replace a spark plug Phil!!!)

Before you start removing the heads can you not ask a local mechanic to take a looksee might be worth a try. Removing a head is doable at home but I would imagine quite time consumming plus the cost of gaskets plus new studs.

Is this article any use http://www.mez.co.uk/TuningTheRoverV8-pt8.html
