Hello chaps....
The drivers side sun visor on my Chim' is driving me to distraction.... Every time that I drive the car, the visor flops down from its uppermost position and partially blocks my view..... It is secured by two tiny nuts in the mounting blocks which appear to be impossible to access. Has anybody any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue.....??
Many thanks in advance,

IanM

I had the same problem and managed to fix it pretty sucessfully - take the roof off and you'll see the cross-head screw on the other end of the bolt. Get a hefty screwdriver to this (and some WD40). Once you've got one off the visor should slide out. I increased the friction by putting some thin heatshrink round the pinion of the visor, and forcing it back into the mount. Tape would also work.
Use enough to get the required friction, then re-assemble.

Thanks Ed,
I'll take a look. I think that the screws that you talk of are under the fibreglass on my car.... I may have to dig them out redface(
Cheers,

if tape doesn't work - replace them - they aint expensive - from (ex) TVR Dealers - I got mine from Harrogate, cost about £12.

I never use sun visors in any car, take them off and buy some sun glasses
