yes & yes

If you can handle a hacksaw and an allen key you can fit the Leven ones, the others I've seen all fit in a similar way, if you're looking for alternatives remember the stalks are Vauxhall so any marketed at the Corsa LaxPower muppets will fit and I think Lotus Elise/VX220 are the same.wink

The first change I made when I got mine was to put on the ally stalks..

Its a scary thing using a hacksaw on your new pride and joy, but easy to do and well worth it.

Very easy to fit and if you do happen to cock it up the replacements are standard Vauxhall bit and available from most breakers.
As for the leven stalks I hate them. Look awful IMHO.
Search and you may find some of the old zertec blades - rarer than hens teeth but look the nuts. I got mine from e-bay after looking for months. Bell Hill occasionally get them as well.

I got my stalks from Heath Briggs years ago. He even fitted them for me. They look a bit like paddles and look great IMO. Another advantage was that the these stalks had much more positive, firmer feel than the standard items, which were very spongy. You can find Heath here:

http://www.07960-870027.com/service.htm

He had a mate (Clive, Zertec) that was making TVR bits at the time. Mention Mark and Austria and he will remember.

See here to get some idea how they look

http://www.greenbear.org.uk/modifications.htm

There were also matching handbrake grips too.

ps

I just spoke to Heath and by coincidence Heath happened find two sets lying in drawer just a week ago. He has only two left and I am not sure if his mate still has a business making them. He tells me they are new and still wrapped up. They are rare items and this is probably a never to be repeated opportunity to get a set !!

Paid £56 for mine so got a bargain then. Though mine were a little scrateched up and needed a bit of work to get looking good.

As an aside the allytat handbrake handle does not fit without some modification, in case you are tempted.

Lotus raided the same Vauxhall parts bin as TVR for the stalks but it looks like they used a different handbrake.wink

BIG thank you to m4rk shout.

Following the heads-up about the Zertec stalks I rang Heath Briggs, a deal was done, and IMHO they now look mighty fine on my pride & joy!

It did seem a bit hash taking a hacksaw to the old girl, but with the steering wheel off it was a piece of cake clap
