I'm also getting tempted specialy now my car is no longer for sale, my engines sweet but it has a few miles on it (79000) so not sure if it would cost me more than the norm but i will be looking into it for next year, wot are the stats for a 5lt car with the conversion done ie; 0-60 0-100 and quarter mile?

I think Racing Green just fitted an SC Power kit, though I stand to be corrected.
Ben seriously discussing this with my mechanic at Sebring for next year so your not alone.
He's currently building a 5.6l supercharged V8 for a customers Chim and took delivery of the SC power kit the other week.

If anybody wants to diy fit a rotrex I'm fairly certain I've got some bracketry (a cradle) that's surplus. I can be pm'd and should have a picture somewhere on the pc.

Hmmm, the first time I talked to Matt at Sebring about this he cautioned about tuning a car that already had more power than grip.
The last time we discussed it he seemed much more enthusiastic. Who else has been bending his ear?
It would be great if we could get this done locally, so who's going to be the guinea pig?

Yes Joo, I'm doing the pattern for the 'Y' piece ,it's nearly finished and will accept a single turbo (oops, I've still got yours, guess I'd better buy it from you sometime soonsmile. My customer knows you so no doubt will want to use your rollers.

I haven't made the suggestion to him yet, lol! Bhp, hmm on your car or a 4.0? Compression will determine boost but water injection is cheap and effective. I'd like to see approaching 300 hp from a 4.0 but it's speculative at this stage. Thingymebobdave has to lend me his car when the time arrives smile

my car has 58,000 on the clock so im wondering about its general health before doing any major work, spoke to austec who said they can do a health check on the rollers which would seem a good idea before commencing anything else. im wondering if 5k would cover a standard supercharger conversion if such a thing as standard exists!

well that would be me then wink , SC took him out in the 4.5 car as they delivered the kit in and I think he was impressed with the way the car delivers its power more progressive, I am going to be the guinea pig eek but the car has been upgraded to nitrons and willwood brakes first.

Yours is the red 500? Saw it up on the ramps having all its wishbones replaced when I dropped mine in for a service, looks stunning - Matt was especially impressed with those brakes.
As you mentioned he was well impressed with the 450sc and I think hes looking forward to me hopefully being his first 400 guinea pig early next year.
Would love to see yours when you get that beast of an engine built up and fitted.

I would also be an interested party... Got the Emerald ecu, Helix clutch, rebuilt gearbox with re-engineered 5th gear, going in for Nitrons and Wilwoods on Friday. When thats done I shall be hatching engine plans, though I shall hopefully be going with some fettled engine bits and more boost evil

Yep thats the one, its going for the emerald install in two weeks time, the nitrons have transformed the way the car feels they dont feel too hard and the willwoods are nice they are just firm without being over the top. For it was either change to a speed six but I like the V8 so supercharging is the way to go for me and it gives the Griff boys a run for the money as they always seem the ones for performance.tongue out

Ph'r Blues has a Supercharged 4.5. Saw it at Le Mans and it was Awesome. I think he even managed to get the company to deal with his prefferred Garage so he knew what he was getting. He would the man to ask.

See the thread "Gently Waking to the Sound of a TVR Alarm Clock", if you need a contact.
