Door solenoid problem
Discussion
OK, so my driver's door wasn't locking and I found the solenoid in pieces. So I bought a 5 wire door solenoid from Maplins to replace it.
My initial problem was that the wires were different colours to the one fitted, but I figured out the 2 power ones, soldered everything up and refitted the lock. So far, so good
Imagine my surprise when I set the alarm, supposedly locking the car, that the drivers door was still unlocked but the passenger side was locked. On unsetting the alarm, the passenger door unlocked but the drivers side locked!
I'm no car electrician, or mechanic for that matter, but I'm thinking that the 2 power wires are crossed and changing them will solve the problem. Can anyone confirm this or suggest what else I have done wrong.
