While out and grinning last night i noticed that 2 of the gauge lights were out and am assuming a bulb gone........... is it worth bothering with i.e. do the clocks simply pull out or do you have to take half the car apart and poss risk cracking the wood. Im thinking that with the invoices and bills i have in a file if it was an easy fix it would have been done by last owner as he didnt scrimp on maintenance....... opinions please ??

You have to remove the top part of the dash there are 3 bolts and with care you won't split the wood.
Then you can access the dials.

Use the search facility Adanced/Chimaera/Dash for example it's very good.
2 nuts underneath the passenger side remove gloveboxlaugh and the other far right near window piller is a rough guide.

10mm spanner

Passenger footwell, drop the glove pocket, 2 screws

Put your hand in the gap. There's one directly upwards and one at roughly nine o'clock to that. If you put your hand into the hole created by dropping the pocket and feeling back towards the front of the dash you'll find it.

The 3rd bolt is the other side.

Head in the driver's footwell, left hand up behind the air vent tubing and you'll find it.

Best of luck.

replace the nuts with M6 wing nuts for the next time

Have fun
