At the end of the month im doing a body off on my 1996 Serpentine Chim. I want to start collecting some parts now. Need to be 100% they will fit as probably wont be able to take them back. Looking to replace everything that I possibly can joints etc. I know there are some alt parts lists but would rather here from people that have gone down there local motor factors and got the parts and fitted so its def correct. I will start a new thread at the end of the month, cant wait to start now. Looing to replace:

Wheel Bearings Front
Wheel Bearings Rear
CV Boots
CV Joints
Track Rod Ends
Recon steering rack?? (any iders)
Top Ball Joints
Bottom Ball Joints
Steering Gaitors
Steering uj's

On top of this shocks, springs, ive already replaced ECU with megasquirt and coil packs (brilliant). Im converting to 5 Stud with TVR spiders and Mitsubishi Evo Brembo brakes all round. As well as the compulsory shot blast and powdercoat anything that can be.

Any advice gratefully recieved on my venture for those who have done the body off :-)

Many Thanks
Neal

How did you find the meagsquirt, did it make it run smoother with less shunting ????

Thanks for the replies. The meagsquirt transformed the car completely no shunting at all anymore and seems so smooth. That is by far the best thing I did on the car and if you do it yourself its quite cheap as well.

I have picked up my mitsubishi evo brakes today they are huge Brembos. They are the same PCD as tvr spiders so with some custom brackets should fit nicely smile best thing of all full set of front with 320mm discs £200 ebay! when my 5 stud hubs arrive I will post up some pics.

Cheers

Definitely worth a look around for parts - When i changed my front top ball joints most TVR suppliers online were asking about £30 each and I ended up paying £15 from a local motor factors!
