Another question... I had the dash top off yesterday and noticed the ice warning black box I was suprised as I didn't realise the car even had the system fitted (95 Chim).

Could anybody tell me how it lets the driver know that it has detected ice??? My car has had a nasty looking polished allow dash fitted in place of the very nice looking wood effect dash and I noticed that a few of the little led near the heater controls have been broken frown

If it's still working (big IF!) then there is a lamp between speedo and tacho - not sure but I think it's the 2nd one up. When you turn the ignition on it will very briefly flash a red snowflake symbol. When the air temp at the sensor falls to about below +5DegC it will first light up amber, then when it is sub-zero it will be red. (same as Standard Range Rover Classic feature). More likely it does not work at all.

I only have 3 small lights between the speedo and tacho top one (red) is for the alarm, middle one (amber) is oil pressure and bottom one (red) is charge. They,re just small bulbs. The does seem to be a "spare" 3mm hole above the heater controls that soes have anything in it, maybe that is where it should be???
