does any one know if there are any TVR friendly mot stations in essex?I have just de catted my chim it now sounds awesomecloud9 and goes like stink toodriving, the old cats looked quite bad and had started to fall out so prodably a fair power gain getting rid of them, ive kept the y piece for mot time but i would rather not smashreplace it.

I dont think there is such a thing as a freindly mot station they are all there to do a job and also keep there licence. It might not work but it possible you would be able to temporarily instal a green tune resistor to make it run the non cat map and then turn down the idle mixture on the air flow meter to get the correct co reading for the ticket, but remember to count the turns or reset the meter to 1.8 volts afterwards. maybe some of the 14cux experts might have an opinion on this.

i am still using the white tune resistor with lambdas
and im pretty sure there are a few mot testers that are Tvr Friendly as it is qouted a lot on here for guys who have decatted there cars i understand its not a good idea to advertise themselves so if any one does know of one they could email me

Maslen Motors in Chadwell Heath, owner used to have a 3000M. More than happy to let the car warm up before doing the emissions test.

I don't know where abouts you are but I have mine done by Laindon MOT, in Laindon (funnily enough) near Basildon. They also do a few Cerbs.

Hi I've used Essex Car sales for a number of years firstly for my beach buggy and last year for my TVR Chimaera always found Trevor the main MOT tester a great guy and very fair.
