Hi all,

I really like the new style perspex coverings over the front lights of late Chims (similar to Griff ones). Does anyone know if we can get hold of some kind of kit to convert. Many thanks KTG

TVR Power have demo car with these covers on and they look great. Jamie says that he he thinks they are availible.

Might be worth trying TVR body shop - in the Ads at the top of the page.
Fortunately for me (but not my pension account) mine came as standard.

Webbs do a conversion for £1,500 - that was too dear for me.

I think they're OK not as good as a twin lamp conversion though ......

.... I may be a little biased

Why not buy a later model Chim with the covers already fitted?

Clive Zertec was going to make them but as he appears to have done a Lucan theres not been much further info on this...

Well apparently TVR now think the enclosed look is best but you think that's hideous ...

For what it's worth - I don't personally like the tuscan style lights on a Chim. Having said that, yours is the best I've seen, so I could be converted!

Did not say Sh*t - your words - more weird!

TR will eat any Chim or Griff on tight roads or track..
when it stays together!

I agree. Tuscan style lights look way too fussy on a Chimaera. I think the perspex covers look fine, though.

All IMO, of course.

You actually said "hideous" about the TVR fitment "even worse"

I suppose with my pedant hat on I should have said my doesn't look even worse than hideous

I know it's the Chim forum, but tell me more about the TR I need to get into some racing and historic sports cars are on the list (I've got an Alpine with an original 1725 holbay that could do with an outing)

I aggree...

I think the headlight conversion looks far better than the old-hat style many of us have. It's looks stylish and modern. In fact the more I see the style the more I look at my chim and think it's a frog, with those big froggy eyes (I suppose starmist green doesn't help)!!

The only concern I have about the conversion is the price - £1100
